Electronic 4473s and NICS Background Checks, Fully Integrated with Your POS

AIM 4473 brings electronic 4473 and 3310 form completion, NICS background check submission, and A&D Book recording into a single connected workflow, all inside AIM.

Your staff move from customer information to form completion to background check to completed sale without switching systems, without duplicate entry, and without paper forms to reconcile later. Every transaction records directly to your A&D Book, keeping your compliance documentation consistent and your operation audit-ready.

One Process, Start to Finish

Every firearms transaction flows through a single connected workflow inside AIM. No separate compliance software. No re-entering customer data. No paper forms to file later.

  1. Add the customer – Scan the customer’s driver’s license in AIM to fill in the customer’s name, address, and ID information directly into the 4473. Staff only need to collect the email and phone number if it’s not already in the system.
  2. Scan the firearm’s serial number – AIM links the transaction to the specific firearms and sends it to the AIM 4473 program in one step.
  3. Customer completes the form – The customer starts the form on your store’s dedicated device. Their information is already filled in. They work through the Form 4473, verify their details, and sign electronically. No paper. No clipboard.
  4. NICS background check submits automatically – Results come back as proceed, delay, or deny. The status of every open transaction is visible on one screen, so nothing gets lost or tracked manually.
  5. Pull the completed 4473 into AIM and finalize the sale – Once the background check is approved, pull the completed 4473 back into AIM with one click. Tender the transaction, and the A&D Book entry is created automatically with the linked 4473. No separate step. No data to re-enter.

AUDIT READINESS

Everything an ATF Inspector Needs, Right There in AIM

When ATF comes in, you do not want to be pulling records from three different systems. With AIM 4473, every completed form is stored inside AIM. Right-click any transaction, view the full 4473, and pull up any record by reference number or serial number instantly. One system. One place to look. No scrambling.

ONE SUPPORT CALL

One System Means One Place to Call When Something Goes Wrong

When your 4473 workflow runs through a separate system, tracking down a support issue means figuring out which vendor owns the problem before anyone can fix it. With AIM 4473, your entire workflow lives in one place. One vendor, one support line, one team that can see the whole picture and resolve it fast.

REPLACING PEN-AND-PAPER OR THE ATF WEBSITE?

Already Using a Separate Compliance Tool?

About 70% of gun shops handle 4473s manually on pen and paper or through the ATF website dropdown. AIM 4473 brings that workflow inside your POS, eliminating the handoff between systems and the duplicate data entry that comes with it. One platform, one process, one place to look when it is time for an inspection.
